I finally got to see A Royal Affair (dir. Nikolaj Arcel, 2012) - and it’s much better than I expected! My dad told me to watch it because it’s about his great great grandfather, Christian VII, (yes, we’re a bunch of bastards) and he thought it was great fun. I’ve never bothered to read about him before because I couldn’t care less about the danish royal family, but holy shit… That guy sure was insane. I guess it explains a lot. Haha.
It’s a great film, the oscar nomination was well deserved!
